Richmond River Historical Society is now operating out of rooms at the Goonellabah Community Centre, 27 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah (behind the Goonellabah Library)
The museum is a work in progress and displays are currently not open to the public.
We are open for research on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am – 11:30am. Please contact us for enquiries.
Research Applications, Donation Forms, and Membership Applications and Renewals can be lodged via email or by post.
All our publications are available for purchase.

Richmond River Historical Society is based in the city of Lismore, centre of the Richmond River region of northern New South Wales. The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, display and disseminate historical material relevant to the continuing history of North-Eastern NSW. Whether you are interested in visiting our Museum, researching your family history, discovering an aspect of local history, or becoming a member or volunteer with the Society, we trust you will find what you are looking for on this website.
